Assignment 1 and the course so far

So far the course has been going fairly well. I liked most of csc165 so I am optimistic that I will like this course too. The lecture material hasn't been too difficult so far because we have just gone into more depth on the same topics we worked on in csc165. I'm glad we didn't jump into a bunch of new topics because it always takes me a while to remember everything from the year before. I like the new "informal" way of writing of proofs because it lets me focus more on actually coming up with a way to solve something rather then coming up with a structured proof. That being said I would say I still spend a lot more time writing up proofs then coming up with how to solve them. Something I know I am really going to need to work on this year is transferring my ideas in words and writing them down. Especially for tests and exams.

Questions 1 and 2 didn't take me very long to figure out on Assignment 1 but I'm still stumped on question 3. I thought I might come up with a way to solve #3 while I wrote up 1 and 2. However this wasn't the case and after writing up 1 and 2 I realized that I was supposed to write them in a text file not on paper. Guh...So now I'm back where I started. At this point my internet started working again(which is a rare ocation if your ISP is PRIMUS) so I thought I'd better take this opertunity to finally start my blog. Now I'm going to go back to working on question 3 so hopefully I've figured it out by the next time I post something.
